Brian Bloom, the voice behind BJ Blazcowicz in Wolfenstein: The New Order and The New Colossus, says he didn’t know what he had been auditioning for. Even when he received the half, he says he didn’t know what it was.

In an interview with Bloom, he advised us that earlier than the voice actors strike “you could audition for something […] and not know what the job was, because there is so much secrecy, so much non-disclosure.” Bloom says that when he first learn the audition piece – which turned out to be a piece of Blazcowicz’s inner monologue – he had little greater than a codename.
