The highly anticipated live-action adaptation of Capcom’s iconic Street Fighter series has received a substantial new trailer ahead of its October 16 theatrical debut. While the promotional footage offers a glimpse at the expansive ensemble cast, the spotlight falls squarely on the franchise’s legendary duo, Ryu and Ken.
The narrative follows Chun-Li on a desperate hunt for potential tournament champions, eventually crossing paths with a down-on-their-luck Ryu and Ken. It isn’t long before the pair showcase their signature combat styles. Overall, the film strikes a balance between remaining reverent to the source material and embracing the delightfully over-the-top energy that fans have come to expect.
The star-studded cast list for Street Fighter is impressive, featuring Andrew Koji as Ryu, Noah Centineo as Ken, and Callina Liang as Chun-Li. They are joined by Jason Momoa (Blanka), David Dastmalchian (M. Bison), Cody Rhodes (Guile), 50 Cent (Balrog), Roman Reigns (Akuma), Mel Jarnson (Cammy), Olivier Richters (Zangief), Orville Peck (Vega), Hirooki Goto (E. Honda), Andrew Schulz (Dan Hibiki), Vidyut Jammwal (Dhalsim), and Eric André (Don Sauvage). Behind the camera, director Kitao Sakurai—known for his work on Beef, Twisted Metal, and The Eric Andre Show—is steering the production.
