The Shore: Enhanced Edition launched for PlayStation 5 on April 30, 2026. An Xbox Series X|S version is planned for later in 2026, although its exact release date has not been announced. Dragonis Games and publisher Iphigames prepared the console edition as the original game reached its fifth anniversary.

The Shore is a single-player first-person Lovecraftian horror adventure. Players follow Andrew, a father searching for his missing daughter on a remote island abandoned by humanity. Ruined settlements, distorted landscapes and ancient entities gradually connect that search to the island’s history.

What the Enhanced Edition includes

The console release keeps the original focus on exploration, environmental puzzles and story details uncovered through the world. It has been adapted for current console hardware with refined visuals while retaining the oppressive atmosphere and cosmic-horror direction of the PC game.

Progress depends on observation, logic and the use of strange artifacts. Sound, whispers and long stretches of silence build tension, while encounters with eldritch creatures form part of Andrew’s journey through the island.

Platforms and availability

The PS5 edition is available digitally and supports offline play for one player. The PlayStation Store lists multiple screen languages, including English and Russian. Xbox Wire confirms that the Xbox Series X|S edition remains scheduled for 2026.
