The Mysterious Abandoned Shows Signs of Life — Developer Spotted Testing
The project appears to still be in active development in some capacity.
In March 2026, the gaming community turned its attention once again to Abandoned, a title that previously sparked a firestorm of speculation. At the height of the hype, many believed the project was a secret collaboration involving Hideo Kojima or a revival of the Silent Hill franchise.
Since those rumors first surfaced, the Silent Hill 2 remake has already been released, yet Abandoned remains shrouded in mystery. While many observers assumed the project had been quietly discarded, it has recently shown fresh signs of life.
Sharp-eyed users noticed that lead developer Hasan Kahraman has been active in a project titled “Abandoned: Gospels of Blood”—a name that does not correspond to any officially released game. It is widely speculated that he is currently playtesting an internal build of the long-awaited title.
