Players across multiple platforms can now try Activision’s new title, which is launching simultaneously on Xbox Game Pass.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is now available on Xbox Game Pass. The game runs on both generations of Xbox consoles (Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One), on PC through PC Game Pass, and can be streamed via the cloud with Game Pass Ultimate.
Treyarch describes Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 as the largest Black Ops entry in the series’ history. Players will experience an innovative cooperative campaign that can be played solo or with a squad, a multiplayer offering that includes sixteen 6v6 maps plus two expansive 20v20 arenas at launch, and the return of the Zombies mode. All of this is paired with a loadout of near-future weaponry and the franchise’s characteristic atmosphere.
The launch of Black Ops 7 arrives in an intriguing context: after releases like Battlefield 6 and ARC Raiders, many assumed a new CoD would struggle to stand out during a crowded season. However, making the game available on Xbox Game Pass from day one could shift the balance. This gives the title an opportunity to rapidly amass a large player base and draw in millions who might otherwise have waited to purchase it.
