The Latest Update for Battlefield 6 ‘Broke’ the PlayStation 5 Version

Players have discovered a workaround while developers investigate.

The update released on November 11 for Battlefield 6 disrupted the PlayStation 5 build. After applying the patch, users are unable to access any mode — neither multiplayer nor the single-player campaign. The game prompts for missing files even though those files are already present on the console.

The developers are aware of the issue and say they will address it promptly, but players have already identified a temporary fix.

From the PS5 home screen, highlight the Battlefield 6 icon, press the Options button, and choose “Restore License.” The console will then prompt you to download additional data packages. After that, simply restart the game.
