The gaming industry’s flagship event is moving up to a new level. For the first time, The Game Awards 2025 will stream on Prime Video, marking a partnership with the major streaming service.
Jeff Keighley, the show’s creator and host, confirmed on Tuesday that this year’s broadcast will air on Prime Video, while YouTube and Twitch will remain available as before. Since 2014 The Game Awards has built its audience on those platforms, and the team doesn’t intend to abandon them.
We can’t imagine removing The Game Awards from YouTube or Twitch — that’s where the show was born.
He stressed that the partnership with Amazon represents a “step forward,” but it won’t alter the event’s format or spirit. Prime Video will simply serve as an additional way to reach gamers around the world.
For the first time, the Twitch broadcast will be available in 2K resolution, and viewers will be able to earn Twitch Drops — digital rewards for watching the live stream.
The Game Awards 2025 will take place on December 11, 2025.
