Fortnite Season eight is right here, which suggests it’s time for a brand-new map. Each new season of Epic’s battle royale sees sweeping modifications to the island, and this new replace is not any exception. We haven’t seen the brand new map in its entirety simply but, however the game’s patch notes have proven off what we are able to anticipate.
While Season 7 launched a snowy biome within the south-west nook of the map, Season eight is providing a far hotter various. An huge volcano – seemingly associated to the cracks which have just lately been showing all through the game – has erupted out of the bottom in what seems to be the north-east nook of the map.
That’s based mostly off of a picture which exhibits the volcano comparatively close to a shoreline, with what appears to be The Block off within the distance, and the Junk Junction llama even additional behind. That would counsel that volcano has appeared beneath what was once Wailing Woods, which could possibly be discovered within the north-east nook of the map.
As effectively because the volcano itself, it appears to be like just like the woods might be changed by two new named places – Sunny Steps and Lazy Lagoon. We gained’t know precisely the place these might be till the Fortnite Season 8 release time, however we are able to take a good guess.
That exact same picture I discussed earlier seems to point out a physique of water behind the volcano which I don’t suppose was there earlier than, so I’d think about that’s Lazy Lagoon. Sunny Steps is a bit much less clear, however there appears to be loads of crates scattered in among the many lava flowing from the volcano, so I think about that’s the place you’ll discover the second location.
