The first story marketing campaign for Gwent is known as Thronebreaker

The first story marketing campaign for Gwent, the standalone model of The Witcher three’s lauded card recreation, can be referred to as Thronebreaker.

The Witcher three makes it onto our checklist of the best PC games.

Thronebreaker tells the story of Meve, the queen of two of the Northern Realms. Meve’s kingdom is dealing with a international invasion, and she or he’ll be combating for what’s been taken from her.

CD Projekt Red say the story will take gamers to areas of the world of the Witcher which have by no means been explored earlier than, in a marketing campaign containing its personal story quests and battles.

The missions are meant to play with the foundations of the sport “in wildly unexpected ways,” which sounds slightly like Hearthstone’s tavern brawls or its One Night in Karazhan enlargement. The story mode can even embody different mechanics, similar to useful resource gathering.

Other than the teaser trailer (which reminds us that Gwent is certainly not all about Geralt), there’s not loads to go on. Gwent will launch on PC, PS4 and Xbox One “this year.”
