Paul Bettany is set to reprise Vision in the final chapter of the Wanda/Vision trilogy.

At New York Comic Con 2025, Paul Bettany offered new details about the timeline of The Vision Quest, the series that brings him back to the role. In an interview with Rotten Tomatoes he explained that the story takes place roughly a year after the events of Wanda/Vision.

“Vision’s story resumes roughly a year later. White Vision has inherited all of Red Vision’s memories. He struggles to truly feel and integrate them — he understands them on an intellectual level, but yearns to experience them emotionally, and that search forms a key thread of the show’s narrative.”

Accordingly, The Vision Quest will continue the story after the Wanda/Vision finale, centering on the protagonist’s effort to reconcile mind and heart and on his search for a coherent sense of self.

Previously, Bettany described the series as deeper and more intimate than many fans might expect.

“It’s a story about intergenerational trauma… about fathers and children, the denial of pain, the suppression of one’s own truth, and the journey toward accepting who you are.”

The Vision Quest is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ in 2026 and will serve as the third and final installment of the trilogy that began with Wanda/Vision and continued with It’s All Agatha.
