The fashion-forward comedy “The Devil Wears Prada 2” has officially surpassed the $500 million mark at the global box office, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
According to industry data, this achievement marks the most successful performance for a female-led film since the release of “Barbie.” The movie earned $163 million in North America, with an additional $300 million-plus generated from international markets.
The sequel features a star-studded cast including Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci, and Lady Gaga. The narrative follows Miranda Priestly as she reunites with her former assistant, Andy. Critics have responded even more favorably to the sequel than the 2006 original, awarding it a 78% rating on Rotten Tomatoes compared to the predecessor’s 75%.
