Stephen King’s “Carrie” series has been released online
All eight episodes of the new *Carrie* series are now streaming on Prime Video. This latest adaptation of Stephen King’s classic novel was helmed by acclaimed director and writer Mike Flanagan (*The Haunting of Hill House*).
The narrative is reimagined in a contemporary setting, following the introverted high school student Carrie White (played by Summer H. Howell). After enduring relentless bullying from her peers, she discovers she possesses formidable telekinetic powers, leading her down a path of dark retribution.
The ensemble cast includes Samantha Sloyan, Amber Midthunder, and Matthew Lillard, among others. Stephen King has expressed his enthusiastic approval of the series, labeling it “magnificent.” Critics have also responded positively, with the show currently holding an 86% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a score of 72 out of 100 on Metacritic.
Flanagan has shared his intention to produce two additional seasons, envisioning the project as a comprehensive three-part saga.
