The Blood of Dawnwalker gets new gameplay — day and night change the playstyle
Fresh promotional content for The Blood of Dawnwalker was recently spotlighted during the New Game+ Showcase event.
Developed by Rebel Wolves—a studio comprised of industry veterans behind The Witcher 3—the project was unveiled through a compelling new gameplay trailer. The footage features a dramatic opening sequence in which the protagonist, Coen, is seen narrowly escaping pursuing soldiers while carrying a child.
Beyond the cinematic introduction, the presentation offered glimpses of visceral combat and an exclusive interview. The developers confirmed several core gameplay pillars, including a dynamic system where the time of day fundamentally shifts the player’s tactical approach and playstyle.
Most notably, while the team is not yet ready to commit to a specific day, The Blood of Dawnwalker is officially slated for a 2026 release. It was also revealed that players will be able to cultivate deep relationships with key characters, with the option to pursue fully fleshed-out romantic arcs.
