Taylor Swift Appears in White House Press Secretary’s Spotify Wrapped Despite Trump Saying She’s ‘No Longer Hot’

Despite the president’s public dismissal of her, Taylor Swift continues to draw listeners — even from unexpected corners of the White House.

When Spotify published its annual Wrapped on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, White House communications official Karoline Leavitt posted a screenshot of her top five artists to her Instagram Story. Her list placed Morgan Wallen and Christian performers Forrest Frank, Brandon Lake and Anne Wilson in the first four slots, with Taylor Swift appearing at No. 5.

Leavitt didn’t comment on the selection; she simply overlaid the image with a cowboy hat, a cross and a music-note emoji — a quiet acknowledgment rather than a declaration.

Swift’s commercial momentum remained undeniable: she finished 2025 as Spotify’s most-streamed artist in the United States and ranked second worldwide, trailing only Bad Bunny.

Those metrics stand in contrast to President Donald Trump’s remarks earlier this year. In May he posted on Truth Social that, following his declaration “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,” she was no longer “hot,” suggesting her popularity had waned.

The president has also warned that Swift’s outspoken support for Democratic candidates could carry a market cost. After the singer publicly backed Kamala Harris in September, he predicted her political stance might prompt a consumer backlash.
