Mariah Carey marked the start of the holiday season with her annual “It’s time!” video on Sunday, Nov. 1, and followed it a day later with a Gucci holiday commercial. The video also referenced her shelved grunge album, Someone’s Ugly Daughter.

In the first part of the video, which depicts Halloween, Carey wears a colorful wig, punk makeup and fishnets while performing “Hermit” at a New York City dive bar. At midnight, she stage-dives into the crowd and the scene shifts to November. She then appears in a jeweled Santa-inspired jumpsuit as the opening of “All I Want for Christmas Is You” plays.

Carey captioned the post “IT’S TIME!!!!” Her son Moroccan commented, “ITS FREAKING TIME YO.”

Carey recorded Someone’s Ugly Daughter more than 30 years ago while working on her 1995 album Daydream, but never properly released her version. The album exists under the pseudonym Chick, with Clarissa Dane on vocals instead of Carey.

In a Reddit Ask Me Anything session a couple of days before the holiday video, Carey responded to a question about the shelved album: “I get asked this about once a week. my answer is…#notyet (this is a hint!)”

In the Gucci commercial, hotel employees decorate ahead of Carey’s arrival, and she joins a holiday party set to “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” Released in 1994, the song has spent a combined 22 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
