AMC Cancels “The Talamasca” After a Single Season
AMC has officially pulled the plug on “The Talamasca” following its freshman season, according to reports from The Hollywood Reporter.
The series was inspired by the expansive literary universe of Anne Rice, famously known for “Interview with the Vampire” and “Mayfair Witches.” The narrative followed the members of a cryptic society tasked with monitoring and policing supernatural entities, including vampires and other occult threats.
The production featured a cast led by Nicholas Denton, William Fichtner, and Elizabeth McGovern. It was developed by John Lee Hancock, the acclaimed creator behind “The Blind Side” and “Saving Mr. Banks.” Despite its pedigree, the show, which premiered in October 2025, struggled to win over critics, maintaining a lukewarm 61% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
