James Franco Wears NKVD Uniform in “The Price of Confession” Trailer

The American conservative media outlet The Daily Wire has unveiled the debut teaser trailer for its upcoming thriller, Confession, which features James Franco in a lead role.

Set against the backdrop of 1938 Moscow, the plot centers on Alexei (Rob Lowe), a literature professor subjected to intense interrogation over allegations of dissent and conspiracy with a priest. Leading the inquiry is Vladimir (Franco), an NKVD officer who was once one of the professor’s own students.

The film boasts a star-studded ensemble cast, including Jennifer Jason Leigh, Nick Nolte, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Emile Hirsch, Brad Dourif, and Dean Norris. The project is directed by Czech filmmaker Václav Marhoul (The Painted Bird) and features a screenplay penned by political commentator Ben Shapiro.

Confession is scheduled to premiere on The Daily Wire on November 11. Next year, Franco is also set to appear in the Rambo prequel, marking his first major Hollywood role since 2017 following allegations of misconduct.
