Lead Actor Found for New “Intuition”
Milo Manheim, known for his roles in Zombies and Thanksgiving, has been tapped to headline the upcoming romantic comedy remake of Serendipity, according to reports from Deadline.
Manheim is set to step into the role originally portrayed by John Cusack in the classic 2001 film. Plans for the reimagining were first unveiled this past August, with Amazon MGM Studios and Miramax serving as producers.
The original Serendipity followed the story of Jonathan (Cusack) and Sara (Kate Beckinsale), two strangers who share a brief, magical connection on Christmas only to be separated by circumstance. Seven years later, as both prepare to marry other partners, fate intervenes, compelling them to cross paths once more in an attempt to find one another.
The project will be helmed by director Michael Showalter (The Secret Diary of Verity). Manheim is currently busy filming Disney’s live-action Rapunzel, which is slated for a theatrical release on March 31, 2028.
