The British musician, born Dominic Harrison, shared an intimate reflection on social media following his headlining performance at Bludfest in the Czech Republic. Although he was visibly moved onstage, he admitted to his followers that the decision to post the clip was difficult, as he feared appearing performative. Ultimately, he chose transparency: “This is what happened and it’s genuine.”
“To be honest, I’ve been struggling lately,” the singer confessed, describing a stark contrast between the high of a stadium performance and the private, lonely “breakdown” that followed. Yungblud addressed the recurring narrative that he is an “industry plant,” noting that the vitriol from online detractors and cynical peers has taken a significant toll.
