Euphoria star Sydney Sweeney has addressed reports that she was offered the role of Bond’s companion in the franchise’s forthcoming film.
“I can’t— [seven-second pause]. I don’t know— [ten-second pause]. To be honest, I’m not following every Bond rumor, but I’ve always been a big fan of the series and I’m curious to see what they do with it. It would come down to the script. Frankly, I think the role of James Bond might suit me better,” Sweeney said.
The new Bond installment will be directed by Denis Villeneuve (Dune) and released by Amazon MGM. The actor attached to the lead role has not yet been revealed.
Sweeney recently appeared in the sports biopic “Kristi.” She is also set to return for the third season of Euphoria, which is scheduled to premiere on HBO in the first half of 2026.
