As Amazon’s The Boys prepares to launch its fifth and final season on April 8, fans are bracing for the definitive clash between Billy Butcher and the seemingly invincible Homelander (Antony Starr). However, you don’t have to wait for the television premiere to see the depraved “Supe” get what he deserves. In DC K.O., DC Comics’ high-octane homage to Mortal Kombat, Superman is finally stepping up to trade blows with the Vought antagonist.

The K.O. event began in October, centering on a multiversal tournament where legendary heroes fight for the title of “King Omega” to prevent Darkseid from unmaking existence. DC K.O.: Boss Battle #1, a special one-shot written by Mortal Kombat Legends scribe Jeremy Adams, serves as a chaotic prelude to the grand finale, pulling in guest fighters from far beyond the DC Universe—including the chilling Sub-Zero.

“Watching pop culture’s biggest narcissist go head-to-head with the Man of Steel? It’s a dream come true!” Adams shared in a recent statement. “My only complaint is that I couldn’t fit more pages into the issue to showcase the carnage… I really wanted Superman to silence Homelander’s ego by tossing him straight into the sun!”

The crossover carnage doesn’t stop with the Man of Steel. This issue also pits Wonder Woman against the fierce Red Sonja, sends Batwoman into a gothic skirmish with Vampirella, and sees Sub-Zero testing his cryomancy against Plastic Man and Black Lightning. Even the corporate coldness of Lex Luthor meets its match in Samantha Strong, the murderous bear from the cult-hit Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees. While many of these cameos were teased last year, DC has confirmed a new addition: Star Sapphire visiting Greendale to cross paths with Sabrina the Teenage Witch and her familiar, Salem.

Below, explore the variant covers and interior previews featuring work by Jeff Spokes, Patrick Horvath, and Gleb Melnikov, arriving in stores on February 4.
