Superhero Workplace Comedy ‘Dispatch’ Announces Major Update and Expansion to New Platforms
Dispatch has just wrapped its first year at the Superhero Dispatch Network, and AdHoc Studio is marking the occasion with a generous batch of new content. The studio’s acclaimed narrative adventure is gaining two behind-the-scenes modes and a mobile launch date, along with other extras.
The anniversary arrives just as Dispatch passes 5 million players. That gives fans plenty of reason to return to the superhero series, which is once again eligible for The Game Awards for the second year running.
Fresh Commentary and Storyboard Modes
Deluxe Edition owners can download the new Commentary Mode today at no extra cost. It offers more than 16 hours of reflections from the people who made the game. Aaron Paul, Laura Bailey, and Erin Yvette are among the actors who contribute. Separate cast and crew tracks cover every episode, and the choices you make in the story unlock different commentary.

Storyboard Mode lets you play through the whole game as its original storyboard animatics. It shows how the cinematic scenes, performances, and visual storytelling took shape. You can also run both modes together and listen to commentary while the original storyboards play.
Co-creative director Nick Herman said in a press release that it is usually hard for studios to put their developers in the spotlight and show how the work really gets done. He added that Dispatch is an unusual, highly specific game, which gave the team some unique opportunities to do so.
Both modes come with the Deluxe Edition. Owners of the Standard Edition can upgrade for $10.99.
Dispatch Heads to Mobile

You’ll soon be able to manage your team of heroes from anywhere. Dispatch arrives on Android and iOS on Dec. 9. The mobile version has been rebuilt for touch controls and vertical play, and it also supports Google Play Games on PC.
The first four episodes are free, and the complete game costs $19.99.
A Live Dispatch Concert and More
The celebration reaches beyond the game itself. Dispatch: Night Shift is a one-night concert on Dec. 3 at Avalon Hollywood in Los Angeles. Composer Andrew Arcadi and the SDN Company Band will perform alongside Thot Squad, Bershy, Primer, Caroline Kingsbury, and Fartbarf. Tickets will be extremely scarce, and AdHoc Studio’s email subscribers get first access.

New merchandise is also on the way, including apparel, signed posters, and physical editions of the four comics that came digitally with the Deluxe Edition. Dispatch: Design Works is a forthcoming hardcover book and collectible box made with Lost In Cult, and it goes deeper into the game’s development. Lost In Cult also sells the soundtrack on vinyl.
Dispatch came through the COVID-19 pandemic to become one of 2025’s best games. It follows a retired superhero who takes a desk job managing a team of reformed villains. In his review, Polygon’s Josh Broadwell wrote that it’s hard not to sympathize with Robert Robertson III, a man who has lost everything and chases one goal with reckless determination, only to watch it fall apart almost at once. He said the game captures that personality perfectly.
With a new way to experience the story, it’s a good time to revisit Dispatch or play it for the first time.
