Streamer Ninja suggested “punishing” ARC Raiders players for using free gear

Aggressive players equipped with free gear are creating imbalance for many.

In ARC Raiders, if a player dies during a raid they lose not only their loot but also their equipment. However, the developers added a feature that ensures a user won’t be left unarmed even after a run of bad luck.

Before deploying to a raid, you can opt for the “free equipment” option. That kit includes a random weapon, a few consumables, and a basic shield.

The modest loadout is enough to encourage aggressive play — even if an attack fails, players essentially risk nothing (provided they haven’t already collected loot).

Some members of the ARC Raiders community argue that developers should impose limits on players who choose the free kit.

Well-known streamer Ninja proposes a staggered spawn as a remedy: if a player takes the free set, they shouldn’t spawn at the raid’s start alongside “regular” players (those who brought their own gear).

That way, free-kit holders would arrive on maps already scouted by others and, consequently, would secure less loot.
