Windows stays by far the most well-liked working system, accounting for 96.43% of Steam customers. Windows 10 (64 bit) is the most-used Windows model, accounting for 53.1% of customers.Windows 7 (64 bit) now accounts for 36.15% of Steam customers.
Valve defined the discrepancy in a publish they published along with the survey results.
“Historically, the survey used a client-side method to ensure that systems were counted only once per year, in order to provide an accurate picture of the entire Steam user population,” Valve wrote. “It turns out, however, that many cyber cafes manage their hardware in a way that was causing their customers to be over counted.”
The recognition of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds in China has caused some precipitous swings in Steam’s Hardware Survey over the previous 12 months, so checking out which results are actual and that are brought on by miscounting may very well be difficult. However, Valve say they’re assured that this month’s outcomes are correct.
