Arma 3 Community Radar #23: CUP, ACE3 and Antistasi

Bohemia Interactive published Arma 3 Community Radar #23 on November 1, 2021. Justin LeClair’s roundup documented artwork, mod updates, organized operations, videos, and charity streams from the Arma 3 community.

Artwork and mod updates

Farsight contributed paired images of a CTRG Group 3 operator and a CSAT Viper Team member. WilsonTheIrish’s “Evolution” placed infantry equipment from 1944 through 2035 in one scene to mark eight years of Arma 3. Other images used Autumn Livonia and the Nassau 1715 total conversion, which shifts the game to an eighteenth-century Caribbean setting.

The development section covered the Tiger mod from Projets Edaly, Asaayu’s Integrated AI Voice Control System, and an early build of Queen and Country with British equipment from operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. A Community Upgrade Project release updated CUP Units, Vehicles, Weapons, and Terrains. Antistasi received updates across its versions. ACE3 3.14.0 added fixes and features while merging ACEX into ACE3.

Operations, video, and charity streams

Organized play included an OFCRA Second World War event, a 16th Air Assault Liberation mission on Malden, and Friday Night Fights matches supporting as many as 124 players. The eighth-anniversary Splendid Squad stream sent a group of creators into a mission on Tanoa designed by Liru the Lance Corporal.

Viper1Zero listed twenty-five Arma 3 mods in a video that remains available on YouTube. The issue also linked Ceb.Cin’s DEVGRU machinima and a GameSpot episode in which Royal Armouries specialist Jonathan Ferguson examined weapons from Arma 3 and its DLC. A separate twenty-four-hour S.O.G. Prairie Fire charity stream exceeded its $10,000 target for Military & Veteran Gamers.
