Arma 3 Community Radar #22: ACRE2, RHS and CWR III

Bohemia Interactive published Arma 3 Community Radar #22 on August 9, 2021. Justin LeClair and Niles George assembled the issue from community artwork, mod releases, multiplayer events, and videos produced during the previous months.

The art selection included an IDAP display built around a portrait of Lars Blanken, mortar crews in action, F-4 Phantoms over the Cam Lao Nam terrain, and a reconstruction of the 2nd Ranger Battalion landing at Omaha Beach. Another scene used assets from the CSLA Iron Curtain Creator DLC to depict 1980s CSLA forces after a compound assault.

Several established mods received substantial releases. ACRE2 joined the ACE3 team’s collaboration channels. Red Hammer Studios published version 0.5.6 of its AFRF, USAF, GREF, and SAF packages. 3 Commando Brigade released 3CB Factions 5.0, while The Unsung Mod Team issued Unsung 3.11 Golf and a stable Unsung: Redux build for use beside S.O.G. Prairie Fire. Cold War Rearmed III reached version 1.0 with a recreation of the Cold War Crisis campaign and additional factions.

Community events and recordings

Scott Alsworth released the Art of War Charity Pack’s artwork textures for scenario creators. The issue also noted the second anniversary of Global Mobilization, Vericht’s Altis GP Time Trial scenario, and Wolf Corps’ win in the European CTF Masters Cup held in May 2021.

The video section covered a Captain Parker cinematic, Karmakut’s Liberation session, Dslyecxi’s review of ShackTac’s fifteenth year, and Viper1Zero’s Stratis lore episode. Bohemia’s Arma 20th Anniversary livestream, also included in the issue, remains available on the official Arma Platform channel.
