Bethesda Game Studios is expanding the reach of its sprawling interstellar odyssey. The massive sci-fi RPG Starfield is officially set to touch down on PlayStation 5 on April 7.

Originally released in September 2023 as an Xbox and PC exclusive, the title invites players to step into the boots of a spacefaring miner. Throughout the journey, you will pilot bespoke starships across the vast reaches of the Milky Way, landing on diverse celestial bodies to unravel a mystery of ancient proportions. This new PlayStation 5 iteration arrives fully equipped with every post-launch enhancement to date, alongside the simultaneous debut of the Free Lanes update for all platforms.

The PS5 version integrates specific hardware features to deepen immersion. The DualSense controller’s adaptive triggers provide tactile resistance unique to every weapon type, while the light bar offers a visual pulse on the vitality of both your character and your vessel. Additionally, the touchpad acts as a versatile interface for seamless perspective shifts, rapid map access, and activating the hand scanner.
