The subsequent starwad of Star Wars Battlefront 2 content material will cross over with the adventures of dashing spacerogue Hanthony Solo, cross-promoting his upcoming prequel film. It’ll let gamers go to Jabba’s Palace, the co-working hub the place Hanthony did some freelancing in his early days. His mates Leia and Lando may also get costumes based mostly on the time they picked him up from Jabba’s workplace social gathering that obtained out of hand when everybody began feeding issues into the shredder.
Not every little thing is about Hanthony, as The Han Solo Season may also convey the brand new 2v2 Hero Showdown mode, UI enhancements, and extra.
The Han Solo Season is admittedly only a fancy title for the pair of updates making up Battlefront 2’s second season of content material. It’ll begin on May 16th then proceed with a second blast a while in June.
Jabba’s Palace can be playable in Heroes vs Villains, Blast, and Arcade mode. It’s, y’know, Jabba’s Palace. Related to that, Leia will get her Boushh disguise from Return Of The Jedi, full with a speech scrambler, whereas Lando will get his palace guard disguise. As is the best way in Battlefront 2 now, they’ll be unlockable with the credit earned by enjoying or the microtransaction foreign money Crystals.
Beyond Hanthony, ooh there’s loads. Starfighter mode is getting a Custom Arcade choice so gamers can lark about as they please. Players will get the choice to spend Skill Points between rounds. Menus are being up to date and reorganised. And the 2v2 Hero Showdown mode will borrow a trick from Overwatch’s Lockout Elimination variant, with best-of-five matches the place gamers can’t reuse characters they’ve already performed in a successful spherical.
See the announcement for extra data.
This all sounds good and properly however Dice’s Hanthony blast can be judged in opposition to one of the best factor ever to occur in any Star Wars recreation, that Solo Derulo bit out Kinect Star Wars:
