Amazon has officially pulled back the curtain on its highly anticipated Spider-Man Noir live-action adaptation. In a nod to the genre’s roots, the footage was released in two distinct formats: an “authentic black and white” version that captures the essence of classic hardboiled cinema, and a “True-Hue Color” edition. This dual-presentation mirrors how the series itself will be made available to audiences.

Starring Nicolas Cage as a world-weary 1930s private investigator, this Spider-Verse spin-off leans heavily into the gritty aesthetics of traditional film noir, evoking the stark, high-contrast atmosphere of Sin City. The trailers introduce Cage as Ben Reilly, a man who eventually adopts the mantle of a masked vigilante to combat the corruption of the Great Depression era. While keeping specific plot points under wraps, the teaser highlights an impressive supporting cast:

• Lamorne Morris as Robbie Robertson: A principled journalist and a trusted ally to Ben.
• Li Jun Li as Cat Hardy: The quintessential femme fatale, a sultry cabaret singer with dangerous ties to the criminal underworld.
