SPENT: The release turned out to be a failure, which also hurt Online

Yesterday, at the start of sales, we carried out live broadcast, in which we got acquainted with the newest collection. And today we are forced to write not a review on GTA: Trilogy – Definitive Editionand describe the experience of the Rockstar Games Launcher.

After downloading and several minutes in RGL (it’s a very good abbreviation …) there were no complaints about the launcher: he found the classic “Trilogy” from Steam and pulled it up, accepted the code from the physical box of GTA 4 without any problems. But over the past week, it became clear that the epithet “normal” in this case is not applicable at all. The financial side of the issue we have already considered, it’s technical time.

Exactly in appointed time nothing happened – there was a delay that will cost us dearly. In less than one hour, it was not possible to download all the parts, and since the stream began on time, GTA: San Andreas – Definitive Edition did not have time to load. And here the first question arises: why does not the download continue in the background ?! Why, for example, on consoles you can not even wait for a full load, but here all the processes are sequential? During the game itself, I was surprised that the achievements that were added to the updated versions can not be viewed either in the games themselves or in the launcher – only in the “Social Club”. We dealt with the Troika and Weiss, and left for a short break while the San Andreas was getting ready. In the meantime, Rockstar servers “rise and go”, and we can no longer launch the third game, although it seems like the download has finished. So if you even pre-ordered, but were not among the first, you won’t be able to play …

At the moment, RGL is still not responding. Support immediately learned about the problemsbut still can’t handle them… Moreover, for PC owners, both “Online” became unavailable. Technical work continues. It is not known when they will end. Real-time status can be check here…
