Streamer Trckzz pointed out that the PC version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 suffers severe framerate drops whenever a player pulls out a flashbang.
He published a clip showing Modern Warfare 4 running at 230 to 245 frames per second on his PC, but the framerate plunges to 120 to 130 FPS the moment he equips a stun grenade.

Commenters noted that consoles do not exhibit this issue, arguing that Call of Duty developers have consistently delivered poor PC optimization while focusing primarily on the PlayStation and Xbox versions.
