In a recent interview with Variety, Sigourney Weaver confirmed she is negotiating with Disney and Fox about returning to the horror franchise Alien.
“We’re proceeding carefully. I hope it comes together and that fans will be delighted. But it’s worth remembering that everything is still in the early stages,” Weaver stressed.
Speculation about her comeback first emerged in October: at Comic-Con, Weaver publicly expressed for the first time her interest in reprising Ellen Ripley. The screenplay she referenced in the interview was written by her longtime friend Walter Hill.
