Shadow of the Tomb Raider’s first DLC is a lava-filled co-op dungeon

Lara Croft’s subsequent journey is a fiery tomb referred to as The Forge, and it’ll be out subsequent month as both paid DLC or free of charge for Shadow of the Tomb Raider season move homeowners.

Friday, Square Enix revealed new particulars in regards to the first DLC journey for Shadow of the Tomb Raider, which they’re calling The Forge. It has Lara (and probably, a sidekick) exploring a tomb filled with lava and, in fact, riddled with traps. The Forge of the traditional gods consists of story particulars about one other in-game character, plus a problem from a “danger long thought to be lost in flame.” You’ll need to keep away from presumably horrific incineration in lava so as to uncover the secrets and techniques of Kuwaq Yaku.

The Forge is the primary in a deliberate seven-part month-to-month DLC collection, and Square Enix says every one will likely be offering new adventures, co-op challenges, outfits, and extra so as to add to Shadow of the Tomb Raider. In the case of the Forge, the journey is playable each in solo and co-op modes, and ending it’s going to yield the grenadier ability, a Brocken outfit, and an Umbrage 3-80 weapon.

We thought Shadow of the Tomb Raider was pretty good, even when Lara’s story by no means wound up getting all that compelling. But right here’s one other screenshot from The Forge, courtesy of Square Enix:
