Sequel to ‘Jennifer’s Body’ Called ‘Fun and Crazy’
Karin Kusama, the director of the horror-comedy “Jennifer’s Body,” has shared new details about the upcoming sequel.
According to Kusama, a screenplay for the follow-up is currently being written — the script is being penned by Oscar-winning writer and creator of the original film, Diablo Cody.
“I know she’s working on it right now, and I’m very curious to see what comes of it. I already know a few things, so I’m not going to reveal them, but it sounds fun and wild — just like the first movie,” Kusama told Deadline.
News of a second installment first emerged in March of this year. “Jennifer’s Body” premiered in 2009. The story follows cheerleader Jennifer (Megan Fox), who becomes possessed by a demon and begins killing boys; her best friend Needy (Amanda Seyfried) must find a way to stop her.
Seyfried has already expressed interest in the sequel. Whether Fox will reprise the title role remains unknown.
