The Grand Theft Auto modding community continues to push the boundaries of the classic franchise.
Barcode Studia recently unveiled a new trailer for their upcoming project, Seen in Liberty City. This ambitious mod aims to port the narrative of GTA III into the 1998 iteration of the city, utilizing the assets and visual style of the PSP version of Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories.
The developers are promising “extensive improvements” borrowed directly from the handheld title. Additionally, the project will feature original content crafted by Barcode Studia, drawing inspiration from GTA III’s early development builds, later entries in the series, and salvaged concepts from the studio’s previous unreleased projects.
The narrative foundation remains faithful to the original premise:
While a definitive launch date for Seen in Liberty City has not yet been confirmed, the mod is expected to be released “soon.”
