Tribute Games, the seasoned developers behind TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge and Marvel Cosmic Invasion, has released a vibrant new trailer for Scott Pilgrim EX. The footage officially sets a March 3 launch date while expanding the playable roster with two surprising additions.
The latest reveal showcases two former adversaries who are joining Scott to reclaim the snowy streets of Toronto: Matthew Patel and Robot-01. As Ramona’s first “evil ex,” Matthew Patel brings a tactical combat style focused on battlefield manipulation. He excels at crowd control, summoning a flock of demon hipsters to harass enemies and setting traps to dictate the flow of the fight. Patel also utilizes pyrokinesis and spectral limbs to dominate his opponents.
Meanwhile, Robot-01—originally a weapon constructed by the Katayanagi Twins to eliminate Scott—now lends its mechanical might to the team. This automaton functions as a heavy hitter with high mobility, utilizing long-distance energy beams and rocket-powered dashes to navigate the screen. Its signature ability involves raining down a barrage of explosives, serving as a devastating screen-clearing maneuver. Witness their combat prowess in the trailer below:
These two newcomers join the previously announced crew of Scott Pilgrim, Ramona Flowers, Lucas Lee, and Roxie Richter. The game supports four-player co-op, both locally and online, as players battle through a fresh narrative. The experience is heightened by a brand-new score from Anamanaguchi, the iconic chiptune group responsible for the legendary soundtrack of the original 2010 game.
Scott Pilgrim EX is scheduled to launch on March 3 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
