Russian Developer to Release Full Version of Text-Based RPG Effulgence in September
Effulgence RPG, a turn-based party role-playing game featuring 3D graphics built entirely from text characters, will leave Steam Early Access on September 10.
Following two years of development, Effulgence RPG will exit early access on September 10 at 8:00 PM Moscow time. The game combines party-based turn combat with 3D graphics rendered from text characters.
In Effulgence RPG, landscapes, creatures, machines, and effects are built from characters assembled into three-dimensional shapes. The action unfolds in an unusual science fiction setting.
Defeated enemies break down into particles that can be used in a matter printer to craft weapons and equipment. Printing new gear is even permitted during combat.
The player controls a group of four heroes in turn-based battles. Each character has distinct abilities, and weapons, cartridges, and mechanisms allow players to adapt to enemies and bosses.
A playthrough takes about 5 to 7 hours. The game also features three types of mini-games, bosses, and an atmospheric soundtrack. Effulgence RPG will be released on PC via Steam, and the game is currently in early access.
