Three Netflix Series to Watch November 6–8, 2026
Choosing what to watch from Netflix’s vast selection can be difficult. These three series offer a mix of psychological horror, sci-fi suspense and murder-mystery comedy for the weekend.

Stranger Things creators the Duffer Brothers and showrunner Haley Z. Boston turn marriage into a source of horror in the limited series Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen.
Young, troubled bride-to-be Rachel (Morrone) and her fiancé Nicky (DiMarco) travel to his family home in the snowy woods of upstate New York, where they plan to marry at the end of the week. The wealthy Cunningham family gives Rachel a chilly reception, while increasingly supernatural revelations put the couple’s relationship to the test.
The Boroughs

Genre: Sci-fi horror
Showrunners and creators: Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews
Number of episodes: 8
Cast: Alfred Molina, Geena Davis, Alfre Woodard, Denis O’Hare, Clarke Peters, Carlos Miranda, Jena Malone and Alice Kremelberg
The Boroughs brings some of the atmosphere and intensity of the earlier seasons of Stranger Things to a story with a more mature cast. The Duffer Brothers’ sci-fi horror series has its own blend of suspense and supernatural mystery.
After his wife’s death, grizzled curmudgeon Sam Cooper (Molina) moves to The Boroughs. Grief has left him bitter, and his new home feels like a prison. People are going missing, and Sam is convinced that something lives in the walls, although he cannot yet prove it.
The Residence

Genre: Murder-mystery comedy
Showrunner and creator: Paul William Davies
Number of episodes: 8
Cast: Uzo Aduba, Giancarlo Esposito, Susan Kelechi Watson and Jason Lee
Paul William Davies’s comedy-drama The Residence explores the lives of the people who work behind the scenes at the White House through a murder mystery that is both funny and poignant.
Eccentric, bird-loving detective Cordelia Cupp is summoned to investigate a murder during a state dinner honoring the Australian Prime Minister. As she looks into the lives of the people who work and reside at the White House, she uncovers personal conflicts, secrets and unexpected revelations.
Alongside the whodunit, Cupp shares an impressive number of bird facts with the audience.
