Rockstar Reveals First GTA VI Radio Stations and Podcasts

Station previews are already available to listen to on the game’s website.

Rockstar Games has started revealing the music lineup for Grand Theft Auto VI. The studio introduced the first six radio stations for the game and confirmed that podcasts will appear in the series.

Previews of each of the six stations are already available to listen to on the official Grand Theft Auto VI website. The presented radio stations include both new projects and Flash FM, a station familiar to series fans that has existed since previous Vice City games.

A unique feature of GTA VI will be podcasts. Unlike talk radio stations from past entries in the series, which continuously broadcasted content whenever players tuned into the corresponding frequency, podcasts will operate on an on-demand content model. Players will be able to choose individual episodes and listen to them whenever they want.

Another major change will be the ability to listen to the radio and podcasts outside of vehicles. Rockstar confirmed that characters will be able to plug headphones or wireless earbuds into their phones and continue listening to selected content while moving on foot through Leonida.

At this time, Rockstar has introduced the following six radio stations:

• Cocoteo FM — a station featuring modern Latin American music. Hosts El Martillo and La Gata will play bachata, merengue, dembow, reggaeton, and other genres
• Back Country Radio — a country music station for the Grassrivers and Port Gellhorn regions. The hosts will be MW and Delta Dawne, and the broadcast will also feature a reporter, a swamp meteorologist, and a character named Mud Dog Mike
• AfroBank FM — a station dedicated to African music. Burna and Palmsy will present 20th-century classics, rare tracks, and modern styles like amapiano and 3-step
• The Chamber 106.6 — a new metal station with DJ Kerry and DJ Tom. The broadcast will feature 1980s classic metal and later tracks, while the station itself will reference Leonida’s long-standing metal traditions
• Flash FM — the pop music radio station familiar from the Vice City series. In GTA 6, it will be hosted by Robyn and Alex
• Dirty South Classics — a station featuring southern rap and hip-hop classics. Trick and Trina are in charge of the broadcast
