Swedish Embracer Group is to receive 460 million dollars from the Americans, which is three times less than what they paid for the creators of video games in franchises like Borderlands, Homeworld, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, Brothers in Arms, and Duke Nukem three years ago. (This decrease in value is due to debt incurred from a failed sale earlier on.) The rights to the mentioned series will transfer to T2. Is this perhaps related to the predictions of a sharp increase in profits in the upcoming financial year? Does this mean that a GTA 6 release within the next 12 months isn’t guaranteed?

Indeed that is the case. And Kotaku reports on the delays of the anticipated game to fall of 2025, or even the beginning of 2026. That publication even prompted some investors to sell off their shares, leading to a slight dip in TTWO on the market.
