ROCKBEASTS nominated for Tribeca Festival with its rock-band RPG
ROCKBEASTS from LICHTHUND and Team17 has been nominated for the Tribeca Festival. The management RPG will be shown at Pier 57 in Manhattan from June 10 to 14, with release planned for 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
The game follows a rock band in an alternate 1990s America populated by anthropomorphic characters. Players manage rehearsals, concerts, equipment, budgets and conflicts inside the group.
The story was written by Polish author Jakub Szamałek, known for work on The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077. Decisions affect relationships between band members, the group’s reputation and the path through the narrative.
ROCKBEASTS uses hand-drawn visuals inspired by the MTV era and adult animated series of the 1990s. The soundtrack includes 17 original tracks recorded for the game.
