Roblox paid out roughly $1.7 billion to content creators through its DevEx program over the past year.

Roblox paid creators about $1.7 billion over the past year, while the ten most successful creators earned an average of $65.7 million each, and the median income stood at $1,500.

The data was presented at the Roblox Developers Conference, showing that payouts through the DevEx program grew by about 50% over the year. The program allows creators to exchange Robux earned in games and other content for real money. Creators have received more than $5 billion through DevEx since its launch in 2013.

During the 12 months leading up to June 30, 2026, the top 10 creators earned an average of $65.7 million, the top 100 earned $10.8 million, and the top 1,000 earned $1.4 million. Meanwhile, more than 42,000 creators participate in the program, and the median income for the same period was approximately $1,500.

The conference was not without controversy. During a presentation by Roblox Chief Executive Officer David Baszucki, a YouTuber who rushed the stage wearing a t-shirt that read “kids deserve better” was escorted out of the event. The platform also continues to face criticism regarding child safety issues.
