Fourteen years after the release of the first Red Dead Redemption, fans have been given hope that the game might finally stop being a console-exclusive and make its way to PC. Since May, this has been consistently supported by leaks (from RGL, from EGS, and even from PlayStation Store), but it took almost another half a year before…
The PC version will be released exactly three weeks later—on October 29th, just in time for Halloween. There’s no better moment than that, as the revamped RDR 1 comes with an exciting story-driven zombie-themed add-on, Undead Nightmare. The port is handled by Double Eleven studio, who previously worked on porting the western to PS4 and Switch. We’re promised a variety of enhancements, including:
- 4K resolution,
- support for ultra-wide (21:9) and super-ultrawide (32:9) monitors,
- integration of NVIDIA DLSS 3.7 and AMD FSR 3.0 technologies,
- improved draw distance.
The price is still unknown, but the game will be available in all major digital stores: Rockstar Games Launcher, Epic Games Store, and Steam. The latter already has a page (and on SteamDB) where you can find system requirements, supported languages, and first screenshots.
