Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition Is Just the Beginning: Ubisoft Discusses the Future of the Series

This latest collection has sparked renewed dialogue regarding the franchise’s trajectory. For decades, the titular character served as a cornerstone of Ubisoft’s identity, embodying the studio’s imaginative spirit during the golden era of 2D platforming.

More than ten years have elapsed since the debut of Rayman Legends, the last substantial entry in the series. In the interim, the brand has only made sporadic appearances, most notably in a crossover expansion for Mario + Rabbids.

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot recently informed the press that the anniversary edition represents “the initial move toward revitalizing the brand.” He indicated that the company will soon share further updates on Rayman’s future. According to Guillemot, the series was fundamental to Ubisoft’s early success and remains a deeply cherished part of the studio’s heritage.

While specific details regarding upcoming projects remain under wraps, Ubisoft has confirmed they are evaluating several pathways for the evolution of their most iconic intellectual properties.
