Ubisoft, in collaboration with the preservation specialists at Digital Eclipse—renowned for their work on the Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection and Tetris Forever—has officially unveiled the Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition. Fans won’t have to wait long to revisit the glade; the collection launches tomorrow, February 13, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC for $19.99.
This milestone release serves as a comprehensive tribute to the franchise’s legacy, centering specifically on the iconic 2D platformer that first debuted in 1995. Rather than a traditional high-definition remaster, the Anniversary Edition functions as a definitive digital archive. It bundles five distinct historical versions of the game: the original PlayStation, Atari Jaguar, MS-DOS, Game Boy Advance, and Game Boy Color iterations. Most notably, the package includes a “never-before-playable” SNES prototype, a holy grail for gaming historians.

Beyond the core games, players can explore 120 newly added levels and enjoy a reimagined soundtrack courtesy of composer Christophe Héral. To modernise the experience, Digital Eclipse has integrated essential quality-of-life features, including a rewind mechanic and optional toggles for infinite lives and invincibility—ideal for navigating the original’s notoriously steep difficulty curve.
The collection is rounded out by a signature Digital Eclipse interactive documentary. This feature offers over an hour of exclusive interviews with the creators, alongside a treasure trove of archival material, including early design documents, rare sketches, and previously unseen concept art.
