Publisher GTA disappointed deceptive expectations from Google Stadia

CEO of Take-Two Interactive Strauss Zelnick disappointed the streaming service Google Stadia. Deceptive expectations and the slow start of the project — the reasons for the anger of Zelnick.

Last week, the annual conference of the Bernstein strategic decisions, where he performed Strauss Zelnick.

“The launch of the Stadia was slow. I think that was overrated hopes that can provide this technology, and as a result some consumers were disappointed. Every time you expand the number of distribution methods, you are potentially expanding your audience, which is why we initially supported the launch of the Stadia in three games. And will continue to support high quality live streaming services for as long as our business model makes sense. I think that eventually streaming will work as it should. We believe that the Stadia will be transforming the link for people who want to play games, but do not want to buy the console. I’m not sure that was right.” © Strauss Zelnick (conference Bernstein)

Now with Google Stadia you can play hits from Take-Two Interactive: Red Dead Redemption 2 (simulator of the Wild West), Borderlands 3 (shooter with co-op story) and the NBA 2K20 (a basketball simulator).

The future of games Take-Two for Stadia becomes hazy: it is unlikely that a sharp and critical remarks Strauss will change in the near future. It took many months and hit a seven-year GTA 5, still yielding fabulous profits to the publisherand not appeared in Google Stadia. I think Take-Two has learned due to the removal of Grand Theft Auto 5 in the service Nvidia NOW. Apparently, they don’t want to carry a critical game in dubious services.
