Preview of a mod that will add Las Venturas and the desert to Los Santos
Despite Take-Two’s intolerant policy towards modifications, especially those that port maps from old GTA games to new engines, there are still people who want to do something similar. So, a certain Antasurris announced that, together with friends, he was working on the transfer of Las Venturas and the adjacent desert from GTA: San Andreas in gta 5.
At the moment, the authors have worked 3 square kilometers out of the planned 70 (in the “five” map – 76 km2). Some places are already ready. For example, El Castillo del Diablo and The Melasuda hotel, which was not in the original, is the team’s own creation.
It is stated that the mod will be compatible with the graphic Natural Vision Evolved.
Visible results are promised to be given in December, and a full release will take place in 2023. Everyone who will receive it first supports the project on Patreon. However, the modification itself will be distributed free of charge and will be available to everyone.
The current stage of development raises two questions: will the case be brought to at least some tangible result and will the copyright holder be interested in this work (in the worst possible sense …)? Time will tell.
