The 78-year-old action icon is currently in talks to headline several major franchise revivals.
Arnold Schwarzenegger has revealed that 20th Century Studios is actively exploring three high-profile projects featuring his return: a new entry in the *Predator* universe, a sequel to the action classic *Commando*, and the long-awaited *Conan 3*, better known as *King Conan*. The actor shared these updates during his appearance at the Arnold Sports Festival in Ohio.
According to Schwarzenegger, director Dan Trachtenberg has proposed bringing him back as Dutch, the legendary protagonist of the original 1987 film. This follows a recent teaser in the animated project *Predator: Badlands*, which hinted that the character is still alive, currently held in a cryopreservation chamber on the Predator homeworld, Yautja Prime.
These plans indicate that Schwarzenegger is seriously weighing a return to his cinematic roots. However, the news regarding the Cimmerian warrior was perhaps the most intriguing.
The actor noted that the studio has enlisted a prominent writer-director, known for his frequent collaborations with Tom Cruise, to develop and direct *King Conan*.
Industry speculation points toward Christopher McQuarrie, the filmmaker behind *Top Gun: Maverick* and the latest *Mission: Impossible* installments, who has been a key creative partner for Cruise since *Valkyrie*.
While none of these films have received an official green light or a production schedule, the fact that active negotiations are taking place offers hope that these legendary characters will eventually return to the big screen.
