StarCraft enthusiasts should start warping in their pylons and bracing for impact, as pre-orders have officially launched for the StarCraft: Tabletop Miniatures Game—a dueling experience where the Protoss, Zerg, and Terran forces collide once again.
The legendary sci-fi saga is returning to the tabletop in an ambitious new format. Archon Studio, the renowned publisher behind Wolfenstein: The Board Game and Heroes of Might and Magic III: The Board Game, has announced that the crowdfunding campaign and pre-orders are now live on the Gamefound platform.
This tactical dueling game offers intense sessions lasting roughly 60 to 120 minutes. Currently, the starter set featuring the core Terran, Protoss, and Zerg factions is priced at $289. For those seeking more variety, a bundle including two additional Terran and Zerg armies can be secured for $459.
A specialized Protoss expansion set is available for $239, while a comprehensive collector’s package containing three full armies is listed at $439. The most dedicated fans can opt for the “All-In” tier, which includes all available content for $669.
In the StarCraft: Tabletop Miniatures Game, players take command of iconic heroes like Jim Raynor, Sarah Kerrigan, and Artanis. The gameplay loop involves harvesting minerals to deploy units and utilizing Vespene gas to activate powerful tactical cards. Success depends on mastering turn-based combat and completing specific mission objectives on the battlefield.
Comprehensive details regarding the mechanics can be found in the gameplay overview released by Archon Studio. While the Gamefound project lists an estimated shipping window for May 2026, the team notes that complete order fulfillment will take several months from the start of the delivery process.
