Post Malone to Headline Bud Light Super Bowl Concert: ‘There Will Be New Music by Then’

Post Malone is set to return to Super Bowl weekend as the headliner for Bud Light’s concert series. The event, billed as “Bud Light Presents Post Malone & Buddies,” will take place at Fort Mason in San Francisco in February, roughly an hour’s drive from Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara where the game will be held.

Last year Post Malone appeared on the Super Bowl stage as the pre-game performer, delivering “America the Beautiful” in Las Vegas. Earlier this season he also led the YouTube Tailgate Concert and performed a one-night Bud Light Backyard show in New Orleans — experiences that helped pave the way for this headlining return.

Todd Allen, Bud Light’s senior vice president of marketing, said the brand aims to create unforgettable experiences for football fans. “We’re thrilled to reunite with Post Malone, a longtime collaborator, for what promises to be an electrifying Super Bowl weekend performance,” he said in a statement.

When asked about the possibility of someday taking the halftime show slot, Post Malone told Billboard he’d welcome the opportunity. Over Thanksgiving weekend he performed at the halftime of the Cowboys’ home game against the Kansas City Chiefs — a hometown moment he clearly enjoyed. Still, he joked about wearing out the Chiefs’ presence in big games: “I’m sick of the f—ing Chiefs. Can we stop with the Chiefs Super Bowl bulls–t?” he laughed.

He also recounted how multiple Kansas City tattoos ended up on him after a gentleman’s wager — and a tattoo artist conveniently nearby. “Not by my choice. This was a gentleman’s bet,” he said, adding that Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes both played a role in the story. Post Malone noted he also sports a Cowboys tattoo.

Fans hoping for fresh material can expect new music: Post teased that he may debut songs live, confirming work on his next record — another country-leaning project. “We’ve been working very, very diligently,” he said, revealing the team has roughly 45 tracks in various stages and are focused on finishing them amid a busy schedule.

“A hundred percent — maybe, definitely,” he quipped about performing unreleased songs. “Keep your ears open.”
